Mission Statement

BA LLC develops Intranet/Extranet software/hardware solutions that deliver web based tools and e-commerce capability to local Home Builder Organizations and their members. The focus is on putting these end users in control of their on-line growth (they become their own Web Master), saving them time and money and generating multiple revenue streams for their organization and BA LLC.

Company

Building Applications LLC is currently operating in the state of Alabama. Our principal offices are at 3128 Johnson Dr. It is a Limited Liability Company with 5 partners, Harry Garber, Robert Garber, Michael Garber, Gary Anglin and Kevin Heard. This company is closely associated with Garber Construction Co., Inc. taking advantage of their years of experience in the building industry. Harry Garber is president of the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Associatin with years of involvement in the related problems and working on developing solutions.

Building Applications has years of experience in UNIX operating systems, data base programming and the creation of Internet ready applications. Building Applications LLC is building Internet applications and technology that provide the building blocks for intranets, extranets, on-line B2B communities, web sites and other construction industry related applications. These result in dynamic, customer modifiable, database driven web sites with a plan for scalability, replicability, seamless integration between databases, program languages, graphics, structure, etc. This allows for an infinite number of arrangements that give end users control of their Internet integration. BA LLC is currently in negotiations to become a majority partner in RRB SA de CV in Veracruz, Mexico. RRB delivers high level software programing for Web Based applications and Internet ready graphic design.

Business

Our present strategy is focused on the building industry and their representative organizations, principally local building associations. At the present time there are very few real Internet based solutions that help builders, subcontractors, distributors of building materials and other associated businesses do their job. Internet access and use is either very limited or under utilized. Those solutions that do exist are fragmented with no available organizational structure.

Building Applications LLC Inc. is providing practical methods and applications for information sharing, learning, organizational tools, data management and training needed for land developers, builders, realtors, subcontractors and others to take full advantage of the Internet. We now have an Internet/Intranet integration platform that is Local Building Association based for delivery of these tools. This same platform can be used to help developers, builders, realtors, subcontractors homeowners and other association members communicate, carry on business and deliver services on a new level with less room for mistakes and misunderstandings.

Building Applications LLC has initiated its current business strategy and has contracts with the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association (900 members), the Baldwin County Home Builders Association (650 members), the Home builders Association of Tuscaloosa (600 members), the Greater Montgomery Home Builders Association (1100 members) and the Decatur Home Builders Association (250 members). We presently have 30 members of the H/MCBA on-line and managing their own Web Sites. Various members of the other local associations are also now on-line. We are at this time managing 61 web sites in all.

The building market is ideal for the application of Internet based organizational tools. One of the main problems confronting builders, their clients, subcontractors and vendors is a common interface that puts everybody on the same page. Interactive on-line building schedules, estimators, bid submission forms, etc. can go a long way to providing the common source of information to eliminate mistakes that often occur through other forms of communication.

The first year of sales was dependent mainly on building interactive web sites for North Alabama Contractors. We currently have 61 sites operational and many more under development. These sites funded and tested the feasibility of different first generation applications.

From these first efforts we have developed a local and association focused integration platform that is the source for interactive service focused applications through Building Applications. At the present time we have 5 associations under contract with proposals out to 5 more. These platforms are capable of delivering subscription based services/applications to organization members or allow the members to use them to do the same for their clients. These platforms can also be packaged as a turnkey in house solution for larger organizations. While we see substantial income being generated in the second year from these applications this will be reinvested into development and marketing. At the present time we are breaking even and Intend to maintain our development without loss. In the case of potential investor interest we would invest to strengthen our management, marketing and development team. This would push us to a higher level of involvement with a greater number of associations thus fueling a higher level of profitability.

The real key to our strategy is the local focus that caters to the needs of local building associations and their members. We provide each association and its participating members with a full service web site and Intranet for a very reasonable set-up fee. The association earns royalties and or commissions for each member that uses a service provided through their platform thus making the association an important marketing alliance. Each new association has from 200 to more than 1000 members who become new potential clients. We cater to the whole range of membership and unlike much of our competition realize that the real economic strength and potential is in delivering e-commerce solutions and applications to the associate members that help them save time and make money in their dealings with the builder members. In each association about 66% of the members are associates representing, subcontractors, vendors, realty companies, financial institutes and others. This makes our strategy unique.

    2. Realtor Package $2000.00 Set-up plus $150 quarterly for hosting. Includes the following:

      • A professional Home Page that establishes the style and look of the Web Site. (1 page with logo and 1 to 2 images).
      • Will automatically put a featured home on the front page.
      • A site that is both simple to navigate and that projects a positive image throughout. It also will give your company the ability to make everyday changes as the need arises.
      • A contact page and thank you page that encourages a visitor to register for more information (2 pages with logo and CGI program)
      • A page that orients potential clients to what services you offer that will go to the following: (1 page with one image and logo)
      • Mapping showing location of homes listed
      • Listing page that directs to all homes and plans that you list. Will be dynamically created (from a database) pages with front elevation or photo, floor plans and description of features. (One program will be written to control this)
      • A page about your company.
      • All pages to load at 56k in less than 10 seconds. Registration of URL and maintenance of same. Set up web hosting and maintain same.
      • 10 e-mail accounts

    3. Custom Home Builder Package $1200.00 Set-up plus $150 quarterly for hosting. Includes the following:

    Interactive link/tool means that you will be represented by a tool like a mortgage calculator or sheet rock calculator that a potential client would use to define their needs. Then there would be a direct link to a pre-mortgage application, your site or an order form.

Building Applications LLC is competing in Internet based turnkey software/hardware solutions for the building market. Building Applications LLC is positioning itself to eventually supply Internet delivered needs based solutions for subcontractors and general contractors that have business between $50,000 and $10,000,000 a year. As a starting point initial market penetration will be in the Alabama market where we already have applications and needs based solutions working with 30 different companies and 4 organizations.

Their strategy is based primarily on signing up associations at no cost to the association and sharing sponsor based revenue. They seem to be slow on getting new associations up and running.

Risk/Opportunity

The following could keep us from reaching our goal:

  • Inability to grow applications and server based solutions at a rate that stays ahead of what is becoming available from other companies.
  • Inability to find the skill level needed to grow our development and management teams to take advantage of the application development we have already realized and keep ahead of those who follow our lead.
  • Inability to market our product to the industry aggressively.

The opportunities before us are significant; we have the opportunity to provide the basic platform and applications that will allow builders and the home construction industry to take advantage of the Internet's ability to deliver database solutions and interactive applications anytime anywhere including on handhelds and yet to be devised Internet connected appliances. Our competition is tending to raise expectations beyond what they can deliver which sets us up to replace them.
